We currently have flu vaccine for any of our patients who are interested. The vaccine is Thimerosal-free (no mercury), so it’s safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Simply call our office 510.796.7057 to schedule an appointment.
We are trying our best to obtain supplies of a special H1N1 flu vaccine. It will most likely require 2 injections a few weeks apart. Supplies are extremely limited, and while there are other at risk groups who are recommended for immunization, we will need to limit it to pregnant women, because they are at higher risk of complications and it can potentially provide protection to infants who cannot be vaccinated. The CDC estimates that this will be available by mid-October. Should we succeed at obtaining H1N1 vaccine, we will notify you when we have received it.
